Der Jörgbauer is an online shop selling locally produced high-quality food from Styria, Austria. The food comes in environmentally friendly glass boxes and is 100% free from preservatives. It is therefore perfect for fast meals without compromising on health and quality.

The Challenge

The new onlineshop needed to get awareness in the region as well as qualified traffic from potential buyers. The challenge was finding the right people from social media who like to buy high-quality food and keeping the advertising cost per purchase low.

The Strategy.

In two team workshops we determined strategies, a starting offer and content ideas for each persona/target audience.

We defined roles for team members, Instagram as a focus platform and content production guidelines.

Our roadmap included a short setup phase for user tracking implementation and a test phase in which we planned to test different content ideas within the audiences.

The Process.

After setting up User Tracking and Social Media Profiles we started Posting and A/B test campaigns as well as Prospecting Campaigns to compare audiences and ads performances with each other.

We quickly found out which advertisements generated the cheapest traffic to the shop and started to produce more similar content.

Sales quickly came in at launch and we focused on optimising the campaigns and retargeting shop visitors.

The conversion rate was good, now the challenge was keeping sales coming without discounts and trying to get more sales while scaling up the budget.

To get awareness in the local area, we also advertised to these users within a certain radius.

We also got featured in newspapers and used that online article for campaigns.

The learnings.

E-commerce shops and regional brands need both offline and online awareness to get to a certain brand reputation to be independent from online advertising. That is why the company decided to get into grocery shops in the area besides having an onine shop.

Although it can be hard to be quickly profitable as a new brand while using paid media to generate visitors to the website - it showed that it is possible to build the brand awareness and get visitors and customers fast with Instagram and Facebook Ads.

In the near future the plans are to use TikTok, build a better Google Ranking and get into local grocery stores besides using social media campaigns with special offers at special occasions for sales pushes.
